The name YOUCAT hasn't got anything to do with "yellow cats". It is the abbreviation of YOUTH and CATECHISM. First of all, YOUCAT is a real catechism, which means a reliable book for teaching faith. It has thus been approved by the Austrian bishops' conference and examined by the congregation of faith in Rome.
The word Youth only refers to the book's young language and modern design. It is not a simplified version of religion. That means that it is equally great for Adults to read. But YOUCAT also stands for YOU & CATECHISM, which means: make the whole religious wealth, which has been growing for 2000 years since Jesus appeared on earth, to your own thing. Once you have the YOUCAT in your system, you are a real professional in faith. You will be able to explain, for example, why there is only one God and not many in the Christian belief. And you will have a great basis to be able to give others the gift of faith too.
